Rip to matroshka

Postby Backslash-Enthusiast » 31 Jul 2009 00:02

'Allo everyone.

My encapsulation of choice is .mkv with vorbis sound and theora video codecs. When trying to rip DVDs, when using this setup, nothing happens. It creates the file ("stream to file") and then doesn't do anything with it, and while the 1x rip does go along at its plodding pace, the file stays at exactly 0 bytes. Am I missing something, or doing something dismally wrong?

(As a side note as long as I'm here, can VLC read and play from bluray disks?)
