Can't keep aspect ratio between songs

Greetings. This is my first post, and I’d like to start off by thanking you for a wonderful bit of software. I am a bit frustrated though, and perhaps somebody can help me get something figured out. Please forgive me if this is something that’s obvious, but I’ve spent a lot of time on this, including searching this forum. The aspect ratio of my screen is 16:9, but every time the player goes to the next song the visualizations change back to 4:3. I’ve tried messing with every setting I can think of, both in the main window and in preferences. Is there any way to keep the same aspect ratio between songs without programming or scripting?

Thank you for any advice you might feel is appropriate, and again, I'm sorry if this is something painfully obvious.

Did you try to set Tools>Preferences>Video> "force aspect-ratio" text box to "16:9"?

thannoy, thanks very much for responding. I couldn't find "force aspect-ratio" so I assume you mean "source aspect ratio". I put 16:9 in that text box and it seems to do the trick.
