For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Subtitles in TS files not working

Postby lulu666 » 01 Jul 2009 10:50

I am trying to view subtitles in a TS file. I have no problems to view the file srt in a mpeg2 file.
The only difference I can see is when I play the mpeg2 file the time clock runs no problem and the subtitles are displayed in the right time.
When I play the TS file the clock stays at 00:00/00:00.

Thanks in advance for your help

unfortunately, it's not possible atm to have accurate clock information for MPEG-TS, because the clock in TS files is allowed to be, and often is "non-monotonic"/non-continuous. That hampers our ability to show the subtitles at the right time.
Don't use PMs for support questions.

Thanks very much!

For my project I wanted to use VLC but maybe is not a good idea. I will keep thinking about it.

Thanks again!
