replace and play current playlist items

Postby alec » 25 Jun 2009 12:43

How do I tell VLC to replace the current playlist item with a new one (instead of appending or adding&playing), when opening a file from the filesystem contextmenu into the same player? I would like to replace the old items (make them disapear from the list), so I can then play only the new items randomly (without the old ones)

Imagine having several playlists or folders, you then want to play this bunch of files randomly, then you want to play that bunch of files randomly. Everytime you only want to play a specific bunch of files and don't want to append to the current list.

I use Winamp for this and miss it in VLC.

This would also be important for broadcasting certain playlists at a specific time, triggered by a shedule.
