HELP! cant click

For some reason these past few days I find myself unable to click ANYTHING in vlc other than close/minimize/maximize. i cannot pause skip ahead etc. tried reinstalling, but no success. any suggestions?

nvm everybody. still unsure as to why this happened, but i switched my interface to "Skinnable" and now I am able to access the menus in the new skin that was applied.
