Splitted RAR issues

Hello,

This is just a report, as I am not registered on trac, i'll put it there.

I've tested the splitted rar access in VCL 1.0.0 rc1 and rc2 but there seems to be a bug with this new feature, VLC always ask me to repair the files.

I might be mistaken, but here's what i've done :

1. In advanced preference I checked the following option in access filter.

Code: Select all

zip:stream_filter_rar

2. Play a RAR file only with either method dragndrop, sendto, or just open dialog

And then VLC ask me to repair the file, just like older versions it just plays the file content from the first rar file.

I noticed my thread isn't at the correct place, there's a forum which better fits the subject of this thread.

So as far as it's going with an avi container, it's working real fine with splitted rar.

However VLC experience difficulties when it's about to play an MKV container. The symptoms are :
1. it's just like it's doing nothing
2. on some other files, VLC is doing things then play part of the video with wrong aspects

Problems are here too when playing dvd files, the menu and the tracks are not showing up.
/Also, this doesn't happen with VLC 0.9.9 and the plugin VLCUnrar/
Maybe I could help better with logs, where can i get them?
