VLC Subtitles Issue - Bold Grey Text

Postby kmils » 04 Jun 2009 05:30

Sometimes, when I pop a DVD and play it with VLC, the subtitles change from their normal white with dark outline to a bold gray text. Altering any of the settings does nothing. Today I popped a movie that was doing this into my normal DVD player and the subtitles worked fine. They become completely unusable - especially with B&W movies. Do I have to download a codec or something? Is this because of the way VLC renders subtitles? I'd love to know a solution; VLC is awesome in every other way.
