Can I cut mpeg Videostream with VLC? Is is same whether it is mepg, mpeg2 or anyother mpge-format? I would like to cut out some scenes in my film.

Yes you can but it's going to be a pain in the arse. You'd better use a dedicated tool like Mpg2Cut2 (freeware for Windows).
