Troubleshooting while opening a repository

Hi,

The 2 following operations give different results under Windows VISTA :

(1) I launch VLC. I select a repository from my hard drive. I move and drop this repository into VLC windows. VLC *detects* correctly this drop and starts to diplay the video content, but stops very fast.

(2) I launch VLC. I select "open a repository" from a menu item. I select a repository from my hard drive. Then, VLC starts to diplay the video content and displays it correctly without stopping at the beginning.

Is it possible to run case (1) just like case (2) ?

Well, I have filled plenty of bugs reports/feature requests for other open source projects, but for VLC, I have already spent more than 15mn without understanding how to do so...

I have still not found a "create ticket" link...

A bit frustating
