VLC PLAYER without window frames around it in non-fullscreen

Postby oscartork » 19 May 2009 20:06

Hi there,
I ve got VLC Player v0.9.9 but on that there is no such options to choose that can play without menu bar , so always the menu bar is visible.
There is only an option called MINIMAL VIEW but on that MENU BAR is always visible.

Anyone knows how to make VLC Player to play without any frames and of course without any Menu bar?

Someone spared time for me and wrote to me that I should write this code: >
vlc --no-video-deco --no-embedded-video

but didnt have time to say where to write this code, so i got a code and i got a player and i ve got a nice helping person bothered to reply my question, but I still cant thank to him, guess why, because there is no coding box on VLC player.

Thanx

In Tools->Preferences, disable "Embed video in interface" from the Interface category, and then disable "Window decorations" from the video category.

Thanx for your quick reply
But that still makes it with a blue top bar on VLC player window.
Basically it is a minimal view
Blue tool bar is still visible.
Thanx

Do what Remi says, and you wont be seeing the menu bar (which i had managed long time before Remi) but you will be seeing the blue bar on top. If you managed a window just like what i wanted (Remi's way !) press printscreen and show me what you see on your screen, so i say Remi and his solicitor is right.
