playing rtmp vs playing LIVE rtmp

Hi,
i have flash media server.
i have 2 situations.
1. i play with vlc rtmp link to a video stored on that server (i.e. closed flv file ) works FINE!.
2. i try to play with vlc rtmp link to a LIVE STREAM (coming from a camera which broadcast to the flash media server) vlc cannot connect to that.......
i have noticed that on flash player for rtmp (sample application that comes with the flash media server) there are 2 checkbox u can choose just 1 of them VOD or LIVE so im guessing there is some kind of parameter that is passed on which makes the connection a bit different if ur connecting to LIVE or VOD FILE but that option doesnt exists on vlc when i try to play rtmp.

is this a bug? my vlc version is 0.99

Yes, VLC rtmp support is still limited, but you can help us working on it... (Creating test streams, etc...)
