Metadata with special characters unreadable :?:

Postby 512upload » 14 Apr 2009 23:02

It seems that metadata information with special characters is unreadable by VLC (and replaced with '?'). Is this normal? If yes, is there any way to solve it?

Example of special caracters: á à é õ ç ä ü

This is so imprecise a problem description that you're sure not to get any useful help.

OK, every song which has in its metadata special characters, has those characters displayed incorrectly as "?" instead of the character itself in VLC. Do you understand the problem, now?

No. Sine you won't say which kind of file and metadata, it's impossible to verify. Non-ASCII metadatas work fine here.
