file from DVD Rec causes VLC to crash

Postby der_jensn » 09 Apr 2009 17:57

Hi,

for my child I use to record some animation films on stand alone Philips DVD Rec and copy the files at the notebook.
This DVD plays fine on the Philips itself, another noname DVD player and also on PowerDVD. open up the folder in VLC causes VLC to crash.

I tried to upload the folder here: ftp://streams.videolan.org/../../upload/index.php but had no success. where else I can send it?

The file can be found here: http://www.file-upload.net/download-157 ... c.zip.html

the vobs are stripped out. menu loads up fine in PowerDVD without these VOBs

Thanks for the sample.

I have fixed the issue in vlc master ([3d9eb4d80736a1bdb3bcb0c382bd14e55199aa63]).
For the time being, I think you can workaround the problem by disabling menu support for thoses DVD (in the VLC DVD open box).
