VLC as default player for DVD in Windows XP SP1

Postby schaduw » 06 Dec 2004 14:58

How can I set VLC as defauly player for DVD in Windows XP Pro SP1?
Currently I have XP set to not start any application when a dvd is inserted but I would like this to be VLC. Or if that is not possible to let VLC start when doubleclicking a DVD file.

Thanks for any info!

Martijn

See:

If you're using the 081 version of VLC, not sure if you will need to make the rgistry change (the auto-installer might have been corrected). Try just doing the file association part of my write-up, then insert a DVD and see if VLC opens.
