There are two things i want vlc to do.

I want it so when i click on a media file the vlc supports it opens it in a new window. So if i have a vlc in the background, i don't want the new file i clicked on to open in the first window i opened. I hate it when I'm listen to a podcast and i open a new file and it opens in the current window and i loose my spot in the podcast i was listening to.

Also is there a way to do audio bookmarking. so i can save my spot in a podcast. I'm getting tired of writing the time down in a text file.

also i don't know if this makes a difference but I'm using windows xp pro. also using vlc will all default settings.
