Elapsed/Total Time not showing for MPEG2-TS Streams

Postby Fred77 » 11 Feb 2009 16:45

Hello, I've been wandering around the posts to find a solution but I believe no one encountered this issue before. I am producing many MPEG2-TS files for a video on demand company and they're showing perfectly on different STB platforms since ages.

A while ago I noticed that VLC is not able to display my contents Elapsed/Total time on its interface while Windows Media Player seems to report it quite nicely... The files are encoded with Anystream Agility ("vod" plugin) using a custom muxing template produced with Manzanita MP2TSMS 4.

I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the muxing tool, the muxing template or just with VLC which at the moment properly shows time for many other supported formats (eg. h264-ts).

Any clue?

Thanks a lot,
Fred
