Audio during Fast Forward

Postby Darelius » 11 Jan 2009 07:28

Hello, i updated to the new VLC Video player and most things that changed need accustuming, but its okay.

But one thing that changed makes me crazy:

When looking a series of filmes, i use "fast forward" on the intro and in this version the sound is still on (hears like micky mouse on double speed ;) )
Because i find the "Options" very compley and dont understand most of them (german user and german language selected) i ask if its possible to turn off the sound automatically when using the Fast Forward option?

I didnt find another Theme for this, sorry, if i was wrong and that was asked before.

Thanks

Well, activate the scaletempo audio filter in preferences.

Hmm, searched for an option like that but found nothing, sorry.

By the way, the fast forward/backward is REALLY defect!

When manouvering with them its sometimes impossible to get back on 1x and the "speed" is displayed nowwhere..
Think i will delete the "new" version and install the older one, that works better in that thing :(

My post says: "All", click on "All", on your left down corner.

It seems, there is no option to get this bug away. only an update or an older version will be working on this.
I prefer the older version, it works fine in my opinion, but i think the "new" version will soon be aout of his beta-phase ;)

I had an older Version before 0.8.6 or so and it works fine.
I regret that i made an update and deleted the old version what works better...

For the last time, you can correct the audio-pitch with scaletempo with fast forward. You cannot deactivate audio though.

I dontz understand, what you are saying, but it is not impossible to automute the sound during fast forward, what was standard before.

I think i will search for another player, because VLC goes too komplex and too un-understandable for normal users, like me, especially in german.
Nice to have tenthousand options, but not nice, that the most are unknown.
