Help capturing stream - blocky in the beginning

Postby Elijah » 04 Feb 2009 05:27

Hi,

I have tried capturing this stream multiple times now and everytime I playback in VLC or WMP it is blocky and garbled for the first few seconds.

Can you help me with the correct settings?

Thanks so much!

Elijah

Well, this just means that the stream doesn't start with an I-frame, if VLC and WMP don't read it, then the stream is problematic, not the players.

I captured it with VLC. Are you suggesting that this stream cannot be captured properly because it does not start with an iframe?

It plays back fine if I just watch the stream from it's source but not when I play back my captured stream.
