subtitles format

Hi, does vlc player support the subtitles in this text format:

{1798}{1863}Bombay, 2006
{1932}{1986}Jamal Malik is about to answer the question|for 20 milion.

(simple .txt file)

This is a very popular subtitles format in my country and i can't find any option in the player to run it.

MicroDVD. Yes, VLC supports them.
