xvid problem

Postby another_visitor » 18 Nov 2004 05:45

Hi !

Win XP SP2
VLC player 0.8.1
Fujitsu Siemens laptop with Trident 9525DVD display adapter
display drivers updated & DirectX 9.0c

When I play Xvid movies the movie plays black & white,
to be more exact one can barely see some shades of red
and sometimes blue here and there - but movie basicly plays black & white.

The XVID movies play fine in Windows Media player,
however they play too slow here since the laptop is quite old.

If I turn the Video Output Module to OpenGL the movie
plays with colors but veeery slow, I don't think this laptop
supports OpenGL.

With Windows GDI video output enabled
the Xvid movies play fine with colors but here I can't play
the movies in fullscreen.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

cheers !

M~

I think finding someone that has a Fuji laptop with Trident video running Videolan is quite remote, but I could be wrong...

mm, is the Videolan player to heavy for
a Fuji laptop with a Trident card that is ?

FS S-4542 by the way, some years old indeed.
