Hi, me again
There is something that bothers me for a few weeks but i didn't realize it was because of VLC until lately (other players don't have this problem).
This happened many times and i made hundreds of system checkups to not find anything unusual.
In general, the BSOD shows up after half an hour of video playback.
My system is pretty new and running with a fresh install of win xp sp3 updated till the end.
> Mainboard : Gigabyte EP45-DS3L
> Chipset : Intel P45
> Processor : Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2833 MHz
> Physical Memory : 4096 MB (4 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM )
> Video Card : ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2
> Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.01.2600 Service Pack 3
> DirectX : Version 9.0c (December 2008)
Drivers/BIOS always up to date
the bsod shows this info :
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
0x0000001A(0x00000780, 0xC0641A30, 0x82BE0A10, 0x000004C0)
Is there any other info i can provide ? I'll try to get a hand on some bsod mini dumps but i can't guarantee it.
PS : I'll also try to reproduce this with the newer vlc release.
