I downloaded vlc-0.6.2 and recompiled it, but when I used command line "vlc -vvv test.avi" to play a .avi file, it doesn't do any work, why?

its version is 0.6.2 and my os is windows 2000 advanced server+sp1

And did you try the available binary instead of compiling your own ?

yes, I'd downloaded the availabe binary which had a GUI, and it worked perfectly. Could you tell me where to download the source that has a GUI?

Well, the sources available on our website have a gui...

this looks more like a compilation / lack of libraries issue.

It seems lack of libraries, lack of the folder ..gdi\wxwindows\wx and all the head files in it to build the wxwindow dll, where to get them?
