Change program pid

Hi all,

is there a way to change the program pid of a live streaming while it's been received?

I launch a libvlc instance with: "udp://@:port", and it plays the stream (an mpeg2 ts) well, but when the user change the channel vlc stops playing (that's ok, because the pid has change). Now I have to restart the instance, so I wish anyone knows a method to select the pid to play dinamically, maybe using the function VLC_PUBLIC_API void libvlc_media_add_option(libvlc_media_t * p_md, const char * ppsz_options, libvlc_exception_t * p_e );
