the VLC features list briefly mentions the capabilities of the "Simple RTP Input" as "MPEG A/V, G.711 and PCM support". My question is, what MPEG A/V formats are exactly supported.
And following: Is it possible to use that input method to receive RTP streams from a device? The data is coded in MPEG-4 Part 2 / AAC-LC, no multiplexing, on separate ports. Or would it be required to specify the input formats in an sdp file (which spawns some
