interface annoyance

Postby TalesInc » 29 Oct 2008 09:20

How do I set the default position of the vlc windows opening on the screen? Like for example, set it to open at the top of the screen instead of positioned in the middle.

Also is there a way in which I can set a defualt size of the opened videos. Some videos are so large in window size that they span the whole screen. whats worse is that the interface of vlc overlaps the taskbar of windows, so once i open such big files, all my taskbar icons are unreacheable. I have to drag the video all the way up for to regain access to my taskbar. EVen worse is the fact that when the player moves to the next video, it resizes itself according to the size of the video AGAIN. negating my efforts to make the window small and manageable in the 1st place. Its very irritating that when i am surfing the net while my vlc plays a video at the corner peacefully, and then suddenly it spans all across my screen again. This is very irritating especially when some videos span even larger than my monitor. Some times even when I drag the bar all the way up, I still can't see the controls at the bottom of the screen, i have to go through pains to resize the window using the arrow drag method on the edge of the screen. If i do it once, its ok. But its after EVERY video ends. I am quite annoyed. If any one can help pls do. And also if this feature isn't available, I'll put in up in features suggestions.

It will remember last position.

You can set the video position, if you de-embedded it from interface.
