HOWTO select an audio device with commandline option

Postby klauskobald » 03 Oct 2008 23:54

:?: Hi,

How can I select an audio device when I start vlc?
(I know, there is a menu entry for this - BUT go on reading!)

I have to run 4 instances of VLC. Each instance has to address a different USB Audio Device in OSX. I can do this in the menu but it should be work automatically from commandline shellscripts.

There is an option called --macosx-audio-device. But this isn't doing anything.

Any Idea?
Thanks
