HI I have a sony hi def camcorder and iuse HDV split to download onto my computer. Is it possible to use vlc to do this.
And also another question quite different from the first one. My hi def video files m2t are 13gb per hour ,is it possible to compress them with no loss of video quality .With the new avchd or wmv hd.or anything else.Can anyone help or ami asking for the impossible Arthur

You can't recompress without loss of quality... especially not something that's already compressed in a lossy format.
