Brightness problem

Postby Yannick465 » 09 Sep 2008 14:36

Hello,

when I play a video, it's always too dark... Solution is to activate GUI, enable image adjustement and increase brightness. BUT the problem is that when I close VLC and reopen it, image adjustement is disable and brightness setting is restored to default.

So how to increase brightness and keep it as default?

Thank you

PS : I know it's possible, I already done this but I had to format my computer. Sorry for my bad english

When you have the desired setting open preferences and press Save.

Ideally the best way is to do this with the video overlay function on your Video card.

I've had that problem forever and I finally figured out... hope it works for you. Click Tools > Preferences > Video and un-check 'Accelerated Video Output'. Then you have to close VLC and restart the video file.
