Transcode input stream to an output stream?

I try to transcode an mpeg2 transport stream over ip to an h264 output stream over an other ip interface. It doesn't work. When I don't transcode (to an other codec) it works. It works also, when I transcode the input stream and save it to a file.
Is this feature "transcode from stream to stream" available and I use wrong preferences only or is it not (yet) available?
