about p_pic->date, anyone can help me!!!

I compiled libvlc and use it to get video pictures from the end of decoder(src/input/decoder.c:DecoderDecode). It works totally Ok except, the time in p_pic->date is UTC time, ?but, what I need is the time from beginning of the video, not UTC time. Anyone can help me to get another time?
