KLV Codec

Postby jmagrin » 26 Jun 2008 03:56

Is there a way for vlc to decode and display klv meta-data as an overlay on the video stream? If not, I have experience with klv and can write a codec. The question I have then, is how would I get vlc to display the data? Thanks for the help

No, I don't think you can.

Assuming I wrote a codec and could parse the klv, how would I display it using vlc? Is there a rendering engine that I could just send the data to? I assume it would be something similar to the logo module that overlays and image on the video.
