Transcode Audio visualisation

Postby hihi » 18 Apr 2008 13:55

Hi,

is it possible to trancode and stream the audio visualisation (goom or spectrum) with vlc

The purpose is to see the audio (like an audio mosaic ...)

thanks

That's not possible yet. That would make a neat "introduction to VLC coding" subject though :)

Will it be possible in the 0.9.0 release, btw when is that release?

It'll be possible if someone codes it (which has about 0% probability of happening unless you do it yourself I guess). And we don't give release date estimates :) (A "tech preview" release should happen soon)

Hi,

Not to resurrect old threads but I now have a very real purpose to want to stream audio visualisations. If I can't do it directly, is there a way of capturing the content of the X window? I am running 0.9.9a on Linux.

Si
