audio on videolan doesn't work

Hi all!

Firstable i must excuse me for my english... (i'm italian)

i have a problem with my videolan... i had the v. 0.6.2 and it works very well till i have bought new speakers... now i hear nothing!

i have installed the v. 0.6.2 once again and than also the new version 0.7.0 but the sound is away!

someone can help me??

Translation: what OS do you use?

I dont want to sound like a smart ass, but can you hear any sound at all? Speakers are passive and it would be wierd if vlc cant generate sound on a special set of speakers. Have you tried using the old speakers again and see if they still work?
I might be wrong if there is some advanced software to go with your speakers.
