I Want to know that is it possible to develop a Desktop Environment based on VLS ! have we such thing like this ?

yes, exactly like KDE or GNOME .
we can have a full screen vlc (after login) and after that we can do what we want ! make a start menu
and a file manager inside screen .
and the memory we use is low ! as i think .
and flexibility is high.
but is this true ? can we have such thing ??
