How to: Streamed ASF converting to MPEG?

Postby Janno » 16 Oct 2007 11:28

Dummy  is asking:

I did stream a couple of ASF-files.
Two of them with the default settings, the third one needed to switch the audiocodec to MP3,
in order to get the sound streamed.

I can play these files on my computer.
I want to convert them, so that I can burn them onto a normal DVD. which can be used in a
DVD-player attached to a TV-set.

How to? :|

to convert a file to mp3, do as follows:
click on menu: "File" "Open File ...", browse for your original file. Easy until now!

at the bottom of the window, click on "Stream/Save"

in the window that pops up, select "File", and browse for the file name you want to save to.

Below select "Mpeg1" for the encapsulation

Below select "Audio codec" and in the drop down menu select mp3 if that is what you want.

Let me know if that helped
Georges
