RTCP period

Postby Arateris » 20 Sep 2007 16:06

Hy!

Just a small question :
I'm using latest VLC version (client side) and I was wondering if there is a way to control how often it sends RTCP reports back to the server.
For now, without modification, while streaming RTP/H264 video, it looks like it's sending a report about every 3 to 5seconds... I'd like, for example, to have a report every second. Is this possible?

thx.
Arateris.

I tried with the current development version and this RTCP_RR is now about 2second periodicly send. (between 1 and 3 actually). I reed that the RTCP RR and SR are created with algorithms that prevents these feebacks to use 5% or more of the bandwidth.
Is the develepment version of VLC now applying this condition or what's the difference ?
