selecting jpg snapshot save causes app crash

Not sure is this is OS-specific. This is the nightly build 20070915-0000. Saving a snapshot in png works, but attempting to save in jpg crashes VLC:

I am using the latest version of VLC and am also experiencing crashes on snapshot, but mine crashes whatever format I try to save in... is this perhaps due to the fact that I am using vista (I know it's a POS instead of an OS but I have to)?

Any help would be appreciated
