RE: HELP HELP HELP

Postby Minimori » 19 Dec 2003 15:20

Hi

I just downloaded the VLC Player, it seems to play audio cd's fine HOWEVER.

when I go to: File Menu, Open Disc, Select DVD, and open.............it attempts and thens

An error message comes up stating,
main error: failed allocating a new buffer (decoder stuck)
.......or it Unexpectively Quits

Now I have basic knowledge of computers so I'm not sure whether this is a bug or a general error on my behalf, so if anyone can help I'd be grateful!

I tried searching the forum beforehand but I really don't know where to begin with the results.
NB: I'm using Mac 0S X 10.2, and an external LaCie DVD/RW Player. My computer doesn't have a DVD rom therefore no iDVD, which makes me wonder whether I'm missing decoders or something. Please help!!!

Thanks for reading.

You need a DVD rom drive to play DVD's.
i.e. DVD player needs to be installed on your Mac.

but usually this message means that your computer is too slow to play the DVD correctly.
Don't use PMs for support questions.
