Animated logo ?

Postby AIexis » 19 Apr 2007 21:14

Hello
I see on the video prefs things like "number of loops". Does it means that it's possible to play animated logo?
tried .gif and .avi without success...

AFAIK that parameter applies when you indicate several logo files, which are displayed one after another and create some kind of animation.

.avi files cant be used for logos, nor gif animations, they just dont display. Normal .gif images showed white background for me or didnt show at all. The ideal format for images i think is .png or .jpg.

A small correction to the second post:
You can use the mosaic video filter to overlay another video file (like AVIs). Of course this is far more complicated to setup than the logo filter ... but it's not impossible to do. (See http://wiki.videolan.org/Mosaic for more information)
