Problem installing VLC under Fedora Linux

Postby nblackbu » 14 Jul 2004 16:56

I am trying to install VLC under Fedora, I have downloaded and uncompressed the RPM packages as the instructions say. But when I go to install the packages I get the following messages:-

[root@localhost /]# rpm -U vlc/* --force
/etc/security/selinux/file_contexts: No such file or directory
warning: vlc/a52dec-0.7.4-5.fr.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e42d547b
error: Failed dependencies:
fribidi is needed by vlc-0.7.1-2
libfribidi.so.0 is needed by vlc-0.7.1-2
libdv.so.4 is needed by (installed) gstreamer-plugins-0.8.1-1

Can anybody offer me suggestions of how to solve this problem, please??
