IV32 Support on Mac OSX

Postby MacMan X » 14 Dec 2003 08:17

Are there any plans to add support for IV32 (Intel Indeo Video 3.2) on Mac OSX? IV32 was a popular format and I'm still running into files compressed with this (most of them are old, nostalgia TV sites). If it helps at all, you can find the OS 9 CODEC here ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=30903 ).

There is only a free opensource implementation of IV32 for Intel computers. This codec is part of ffmpeg which we use. It does not work on the mac and it is unknown wethere it will ever will. See http://ffmpeg.sourceforge.net/ and ask them.
Don't use PMs for support questions.

Thanks for your reply. I'll get on to asking them.
