Q: Bad picture - horizontally lines

Postby Magz » 12 Dec 2003 16:07

Hi,
there nearly all the problems with vlc are solved. Sound is ok, Network is fast enough for streaming 6 tv programs every at 2 MBit and vlc runs quite stable.
A Problem is the picture. On Areas with uni colours like red or blue there are horizontally lines. It doesn't gets better when I increase the bitrate or disable deinterlace.
Has ne1 an idea how I can increase the quality or get better colours or better "surfaces" ??

----------My cmd line:-----------
vlc -vvv v4l:/dev/video:norm=pal:frequency=154250:size=640x480:channel=0:adev=/dev/dsp:audio=0 --sout '#transcode{vcodec=mp4v,acodec=mpga,vb=2048,ab=96,vt=800000,keyint=80,deinterlace}:std{access=udp,mux=ts,url=239.255.210.81}' --ttl 7 -I rc
------------------------------------

Thank you very much ...

OK, sorry, Problem is only when I stream from my tv card (miro pctv). With mpeg2 files it looks great.
There is no difference between local Server and Streaming client.
I thought about configuring the v4l device, but don't know where and how ...

salut
