question about the future

sry if this is the wrong forum
but i have a small question

vlc is a very good player but like all other media players it has some bugs here and there

why not work together with the devs of the other media players
mplayer, mpc hc , .....
to create one super player with all advantages ?

i mean all these players are very good but have here and there a problem which the other players don't have

all these players are freeware so there are no commercial interests involved
so why not work togehter ?


sometimes i wonder why different countries work against each other and not with each other to improve the world
