Any interest for source code analysis?

Klocwork is running a program to provide static analysis capabilities to open source projects and communities. The program is quite straight forward – we’ll analyze VideoLAN using our static analysis product, Klocwork Insight, to give you a report on bugs and potential security vulnerabilities that you might want to fix. The results are hosted on a secure web portal where contributors can access to the results. This program will be offered free to open source projects on an ongoing basis, so if you find the results of value we could analyze future versions of VideoLAN as well.

Would this be of interest to any developers out there? To do the analysis, we just need some basic info: URL of the source code repository, version you’d like analyzed and build platform. We'd love to help contribute!

Yes, we are very very interested in the results of such analysis.

The code to analyse is on: git://git.videolan.org/vlc.git

Version: master

Platform: Linux, Windows or Mac, but that shouldn't change much.
