Compile and build VLC with an IDE

Hi
Within the framework of my 2nd year project i need to know how to compile (without installation) VLC using an IDE (anjuta if possible), does there someone know how to do this.
plz help me.

Well, once you have bootstrapped and configured, any IDE able to call 'make' will do it.
