http://videolan.com.es/ is a spanish web page where users can download VLC but in the installation process you must introduce a code that you get sending two SMS (3€). In the installation process it says that those SMS help to support the product. Is that true?

That web page is shown as an ad in spanish google searchs looking for VLC.

I think it is not an official site.

Regards.

NO. NO and NO.

We have only one official website and it is http://www.videolan.org.

Don't trust any binary coming from another website (even download.com)

Wow. Yet another website trying to steal people's money and take away from the downloads reported on the official page.

Is there some sort of blacklist (or should there be one) on the main page displaying all the spoof sites claiming to be VideoLAN/VLC media player or affiliates of VideoLAN?
