you can control how many downloads of the file (the metalink itself) has been done...

actually we work on the core PHP to automatically create this files so i'm sure it can be possible de to this they are an example with emule on my server, it is in early beta state, PHP has been created 2 hours ago http://80.247.230.136/bug/metalink-test ... /emule.php
