Compile VideoLAN for OpenWRT

Hi,

I succesfully used VideoLAN on my Router ASUS WL500gP router to stream a USB webcam video, for a while.
I installed a complete Debian MIPS system on router and I found VideoLAN in the Debian repository
I'd like to create a compile package for OpenWRT OS but it' seems OpenWRT is missing a lot of 'huge' libraries needed by VLC
Does somebody already started this task

Not that I am aware of.
Have you tried to only install vlc-nox ?

No I didn't
It sounds like a good tip
Afaik there is nor vlc standard nor vlc-nox available for OpenWRT
Compile a package for OpenWRT needs some attention, since there is no native development env in OpenWRT, but there is only a sdk for crosscompilation
sdk is really good but require a good knoweledge of it (I'm almost dunce on it), so you easily find a stop if you try to compile source too much complex (a lot of libs and so on)
Also OpenWRT devices are 32Mb ram downto 4Mb - so I think this is another limit
Is there an official repository for vlc-nox or it's just a compiled vlc with particular options?

it's just vlc compiled with absolutely no video output plugins
but video encoding & decoding are here
