Applying for GSoD 2020

Postby umekalu » 12 May 2020 16:40

Hello, I am Ume Abraham Kalu. I came across your organization as one of the selected in the GSoD.

I am interested in:

1.) Continue the Modernization of the VLC user documentation and
2.) Creating the VLC user documentation for one mobile port (android or iOS).

Please, I would like to know more information on how to proceed.

Hi, my name is Anwesha Sen. Currently I am pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Jadavpur University, India.

My interests for GSoD'20 is: "Creating the VLC user documentation for one mobile port (android or iOS)"

I have joined the android mailing list and mailed several times to get the mentor's reply but didn't receive any. Then I checked for the slack channel, which is mentioned by one of VLC's GSoD participants last year, but it needs the approval of the admin's to join in. So kindly tell me the way to connect to the mentors, as I have been a technical writer for an open-source organization and this above-mentioned project seems too familier to the work I do.
I hope to get a quick response so that I can start discussing my strategy with the mentors.

Hey there ,
I read the Documentation for the summer of docs 2019 and after that i was really enthused to be working as a technical writer for the below mentioned project ideas
I believe i can execute both of these project ideas as a part of my official proposal .

* Continue the Modernization of the VLC user documentation
* Create the VLC user documentation for one mobile port (Android or iOS)preferably Android

I would be highly obliged if anyone could connect or guide me to the official channel for communication in VLC for Google Summer of Docs
