VLC on RTD1283 Media Player

Hi Guys!

I'm the newest one in this Forum, yes I know that will be true for a short time... hehe.
Well, I use VLC from several years ago and I really love it.
Right now, I aquired a Media Player Recorder based on Realtek 1283 processor (MIPS32 architecture).
I'm not really happy with it's performance althoug capabilities are good enough.
Anyway I wonder if someone in this forum have tried to compile VLC on such hardware and what was the result.
